Dr. Sailesh Mohan is a Senior Research Scientist and Associate Professor at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), New Delhi, India. He has trained in medicine, public health and cardiovascular epidemiology.  At PHFI, he is involved in chronic, non-communicable disease (NCD) research, teaching and training. He leads various NCD research projects focussed on knowledge translation, including a large unique community-based comprehensive diabetes/hypertension prevention and management project as well as a project to develop the evidence base for initiating a salt reduction program in India. From the PH-LEADER Program he hopes to enhance his leadership skills and widen his research network.
