Suhayfa Bhamjee is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Law, University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). I lecture in the fields of Bioethics, International Criminal Law, Sentencing, Criminal Procedure and Specific Offences. I hold a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in law. I am currently reading for my PhD. I am an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. My research interests include criminal law and procedure, and medical law. I am a core member of the UKZN Health Law and Ethics Research Group.

 

As one of the two legal academics assisting SHEFS South Africa, my input is related to the interpretation of human rights which are relevant to the SHEFS objectives at both a national and international level.
