Dr Pauline Scheelbeek is an Associate Professor in Epidemiology and planetary Health and joined the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in 2016. She is trained as an epidemiologist with a background in global environmental epidemiology, and is Co-Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre on Climate Change, Health and Sustainable Development. Pauline’s research focuses on finding realistic and actionable solutions that facilitate acceleration in transformations towards sustainable food systems. She co-leads the Sustainable and Healthy Food Systems (SHEFS) programme together with Dr Rosemary Green. Furthermore, Pauline leads the Accelerating Behaviour Change towards Sustainable & Healthy and Diets in Europe (ABC-SHEADE) project and co-leads the Food system Adaptations in Changing Environments in Africa (FACE-Africa) Project. Pauline is an active STEM-Ambassador, as well as a Women in Science Champion.
